This year\u2019s event was held virtually on Nov. 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Martin, Bernatchez, Sahouria, and Stiegler-Balfour presented a research project about the adoption of e-readers for younger and older adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project, completed with the help of a grant awarded to Stiegler-Balfour from UNE\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.une.edu\/ceah\">Center for Excellence in Aging and Health<\/a>, worked with both college students and adults over the age of 60.&nbsp;The two groups\u2019 perceptions of e-readers and personal characteristics were examined, with specific regard to how these factors impacted the individuals\u2019 performance when utilizing e-readers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI was thrilled by the opportunity to present this project at such a well-known symposium,\u201d Martin said. \u201cWhile it was an adjustment to present online instead of in person, it has been so exciting to be able to stay involved in the greater psychology world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group\u2019s presentation can be viewed here:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ajAQVC2SF_Q\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/ajAQVC2SF_Q<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RCC research assistants at the University of New England\u00a0\u2014\u00a0Nicole Martin (Psychology, \u201921), Grace Bernatchez (Psychology, \u201921), &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":17,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"post_folder":[],"class_list":["post-432","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
