UNE’s COBRE research core facilities, provide researchers access to specialized instrumentation and equipment, as well as the training and expertise needed to use it.

Behavioral and Genotyping Core

The mission of the UNE Behavioral Core is to provide COBRE investigators and the broader UNE research community with the highest level of technical expertise, training, instrumentation and related services for assessing behavior in animals. Through utilization of these services, researchers and trainees will gain insight into the function of the nervous system and mechanisms of acute and chronic pain.

Histology and Imaging Core

The mission of the Histology and Imaging Core is to provide COBRE investigators and the greater UNE research community access to expertise, training and specialized instrumentation related to tissue processing, sectioning, staining, immunohistochemistry and microscopy.
