Programs take place throughout the United States, and&nbsp;<strong>participant stipends<\/strong>&nbsp;help cover travel and living expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NEH Summer Seminars and Institutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>focus on the study and teaching of significant texts and other resources;<\/li><li>provide models of excellent scholarship and teaching;<\/li><li>contribute to the intellectual growth of the participants; and<\/li><li>build lasting communities of inquiry.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s programs include new&nbsp;perspectives on<strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ashp.cuny.edu\/nehinstitute?utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=govdelivery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">visual culture from the Civil War Era<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;the&nbsp;global patterns of empire and decolonization through the lens of&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/radiosummerseminar.com\/?utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=govdelivery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">radio and sound technology<\/a><\/strong>.
