Are you interested in biomedical entrepreneurship or the path to commercializing your research?  Apply today to participate in our intensive summer Bootcamp:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kickoff Meeting June 18 (4-6 PM) |\u00a0\u00a0Bootcamp June 21-25\u00a0<\/em>(Afternoon Teamwork and Guest Speaker)<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

This course will provide the training that biomedical researchers need to bring their innovations from bench to marketplace\/bedside through the appropriate commercialization path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants will learn how to:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Evaluate biomedical invention readiness,<\/li>
  2. How to navigate ethical issues in entrepreneurship,<\/li>
  3. Evaluate the market for biomedical invention,<\/li>
  4. How to attract investors,<\/li>
  5. Select appropriate commercialization path for the biomedical invention to reach to the customers (e.g. patients),<\/li>
  6. Develop a technology roadmap for longer-term growth,<\/li>
  7. Identify and acquire financial resources (federal and private)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Course design: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This team-based intensive course will be structured daily independent learning assignments, afternoon team-based work, and guest speakers with Q&A and networking.  Teams will present a final pitch to a panel for constructive feedback on the projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Qualified applicants include faculty, postdocs, Ph.D. students, and advanced undergraduates with related experience. Applications must be submitted to tina.thornton@uvm.edu<\/a>. Applicants can expect a confirmation email.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
