The Research Council was created as a forum to address strategic opportunities and issues relating to research and scholarship, across the university.  Membership includes Directors from each research oriented center and representation from each college (Associate Dean for Research or equivalent), UFA Research and Scholarship committee, Office of Sponsored Programs, Office of Research Integrity and Council for Undergraduate Research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ongoing mission of the Research Council is to provide strategic guidance on research and scholarship related issues to senior leadership. An important focus of this committee is to share information relating to UNE research strategy and operations with the broader UNE community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Provost Hamilton has charged the Research Council with the following responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1-Committee of record for UNE Strategic Plan Priority 3: Focused Research and Scholarship<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2-Advisory committee on contingency planning for research during COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
