Michele Polacsek, Ph.D., M.P.H., professor of public health and director of UNE\u2019s Center for Excellence in Public Health, recently presented her team\u2019s research on recommendations to reduce food and beverage marketing to students at the 17th Annual Robert Wood Johnson Healthy Eating Research Grantee Meeting, held on March 16 in Durham, North Carolina. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As schools continue using educational technology, Polacsek said, policy interventions are needed to limit digital food marketing in schools and on school-issued devices. Polacsek\u2019s research highlights four areas in which state and local education authorities can intervene through their own policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
