Apply to Direct a Humanities Connections Project <\/strong>

The Humanities Connections program seeks to expand the role of the humanities in undergraduate\u202feducation\u202fat two- and four-year institutions by encouraging partnerships between humanities faculty and their counterparts in other areas of study. Awards support the planning or implementation of curricular projects connecting the humanities to the physical and natural sciences; pre-service or professional programs, including law and business; computer science, data science, and other technology-driven fields; or other non-humanities departments or schools. Projects must incorporate the approaches and learning activities of both the humanities and the non-humanities disciplines involved. \u00a0

Two funding levels:<\/strong>\u00a0
Planning: Up to $50,000, 12-month project period\u00a0
Implementation: Up to $150,000, 18-36-month project period\u00a0

We are no longer requiring the attachment \u201cRelevant Research and Data\u201d.

Apply to Direct a Dialogues on the Experience of War Project
<\/strong>
The\u00a0Dialogues on the Experience of War<\/em>\u00a0program supports the development of humanities-focused discussion programs that enlarge the understanding of the meaning and experiences of military service and war. Through the training of facilitators for and the offering of these discussion programs, Dialogues projects enable veterans and nonveterans to explore together and in depth such topics as civic engagement, veteran identity, legacies of military service, the human costs of war, and homecoming.\u00a0 This engagement in reflective and recursive discussions fosters intellectual community and social connections among the participants in Dialogues projects. Project teams should include humanities scholars, military veterans, and individuals with relevant experience.
