If you\u2019ve received your letter of admission from the University of New England \u2014 congrats! We are excited for you to join our incoming class and look forward to welcoming you to our Nor\u2019easter community. In the meantime, there are a few steps for you to take as you prepare to enroll next fall. Many of these steps have specific deadlines and are required to complete. But don\u2019t worry \u2014 we\u2019re here to help whenever you need it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Submit Your Enrollment Deposit<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once you\u2019re ready to make it official,\u00a0submit your enrollment deposit<\/a>\u00a0to guarantee your spot in the incoming class. Your enrollment deposit includes a $300 tuition deposit and a $200 campus housing deposit. Once UNE has received your enrollment deposit, you are eligible to complete the Housing and Dining contract to select your roommate and residence hall preferences.\u00a0After June 1, 2024*,<\/strong>\u00a0all deposits are non-refundable and accepted on a space-available basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Apply for Financial Aid<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To be considered for all types of financial aid, including grants and\u00a0scholarships<\/a>, federal loans and work study, file a\u00a0Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA\u00ae)<\/a>. The 2024\/2025 FAFSA is open, and\u00a0UNE\u2019s school code is\u00a0002050<\/a><\/strong>. If you have any questions about financial aid, reach out to our Student Financial Services office at sfs@une.edu<\/a> or (207) 602-2342.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Join the Class of 2028 Facebook Group<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is a private group for you, your future classmates, and a few current UNE students. It\u2019s worth joining to connect with fellow incoming students, find your future roommate(s), and learn more about student life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Attend New Nor\u2019easters Accepted Students Events<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Whether you know for sure you’re a future Nor’easter or you’re still considering your options, we have a full lineup of accepted student events<\/a> that offer a unique way to explore campus and help with your college decision.

5. Apply for Housing and a Meal Plan<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once UNE has received your enrollment deposit, you are eligible to complete the Housing and Dining application. This is where you\u2019ll fill out roommate matching surveys, choose your residence hall preferences, and decide on your meal plan. Housing assignments are made in priority order based on the date your application is received. FMI: une.edu\/newnoreasters<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Attend Orientation<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mark your calendar for this can\u2019t-miss event! Orientation is required for all new undergraduate students.<\/em> It\u2019s an exciting time to make connections and get the important info you\u2019ll need to get started at UNE. You\u2019ll also have a ton of fun with your future classmates! FMI: une.edu\/newnoreasters<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Complete Your Academic File<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First-year students:<\/strong> After you graduate, have an official copy of your final high school transcript sent to UNE. Also send Advanced Placement scores as well as official transcripts for any college classes you have taken for credit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transfer students: <\/strong>Submit your official transcripts from each college you have attended. If you have completed fewer than 24 credit hours at the college level, please also submit an official secondary school transcript.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Send your final transcripts to: <\/strong>UNE Office of Undergraduate Admissions, 11 Hills Beach Road, Biddeford, ME 04005<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Submit Your Health Forms<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Visit une.edu\/studenthealth<\/a> to complete and submit the following: Immunization Form, Physical Form, and proof of Health Insurance. This information is due by July 1, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
