Is there useful stratigraphy or did the frightful leveler erase it? Will we find any remains? Bits of pottery? There is an electrical line to one side along a low hedge, but otherwise there are few dangers to worry about. What is intriguing is that while doing the survey, the crew found evidence of metal objects in a number of places not obviously associated with any pipes or power lines. Are these remaining bits of foundation? Parts of the house? We cannot wait to find out. (Photo by Eric G.E.
