MaineHealth and Maine AHEC partnered to create two career pathway videos geared toward a youth audience, one for CNA and one for phlebotomy.
Maine AHEC’s career pathway work started with pdf documents and has expanded into adding in career-specific pathways to its resource library. It is now working on expanding its online tools and presence for healthcare career awareness. The goal is to illustrate some key healthcare careers across the region, as well as within MaineHealth, along with providing some training opportunities.
The videos on MaineHealth Center for Workforce Development website are distributed to key partners such as AHEC, Jobs for Maine Graduates, Educate Maine, schools, and key contacts in Career and Technical Education/Adult Education. The videos are a great tool for healthcare career awareness, for care teams, and also for career coaching for MaineHealth’s 22,000 internal staff and care team members.
