Accommodations for Incoming Students

At the University of New England, the Student Access Center ensures that all students with documented disabilities have the opportunity to apply for and receive accommodations. We encourage your students to initiate their requests early by self-disclosing their disability through the submission of documentation before the semester starts. Initiating this process now ensures they will have the support they need upon the start of classes.

The process includes filling out an applicationand providing supportingdocumentation. Upon receipt of their materials, a member of the Student Access Center team will review their submission, and if they are eligible for ADA accommodations, they will be asked to attend a welcome meeting to discuss next steps. For a detailed description of these steps and to initiate the process, we encourage you and your student to visit the UNE Student Access Center webpage.

Questions regarding the process or status of an application can be directed to the Office of Student Access by calling 207-602-2119 or emailing at bcstudentaccess@une.edu
