Wellness and Integrative Medicine students are preparing to make a difference in patient’s lives. By Dr. S. Vincent

Whether it’s inside the clinic or the classroom, our Wellness and Integrative Medicine students are preparing to make a difference in patient’s lives. In the Integrative Pharmacy course, students learn evidence-based integrative approaches to utilize alongside of Western medicine. Diverse topics such as botanicals and supplements, food as medicine, mind-body medicine, acupuncture, energy medicine, and other Eastern medicine approaches are given time for exploration, discussion, and consideration of when they may be used in clinical practice. Students may then choose to complete a rotation in an Integrative Medicine consult practice where they will learn and work alongside of the Integrative Medicine physician to craft a plan of care that is as individualized as each patient who presents for care.
