Recently Western AHEC hosted Sacopee Valley High school JMG students in their ELO program for a Healthcare exploration day. The goal of the one-day camp is to increase interest in the health sciences workforce among young students considering a health major in college. Western Maine AHEC worked with Oxford County JMG program to invite 21 high school students who learned first aide, stop the bleed program, proper PPE, infections prevention and OR simulation.
