Christina Schechtman joined UNE as the Project Alliance Program Coordinator for Coastal Healthy Communities Coalition last year before transitioning to her new role within CEPH. Prior to her role at CHCC, she held various roles in communications, ranging from public relations specialist at the University of North Carolina Wilmington to features editor of a weekly newspaper. Christina also has experience working with community youth, serving as a regional manager for Students Against Destructive Decisions, prevention educator, counselor, and educator. Christina earned bachelor’s degrees in English and psychology, with a concentration in secondary education, and a master’s degree in community counseling from Siena Heights University. Originally from the Midwest, Christina, her husband, and son relocated to Maine in 2021 and are enjoying all of the incredible outdoor activities that Vacationland has to offer.
