This year Maine AHEC administered a donation from M&T Charitable Foundation to provide stipends to UNE students completing their clinical rotations in rural Maine. Ten students received the stipend this year, including three medical students, three dental students, one physical therapy student, one physician assistant student, one nurse anesthesia student, and one pharmacy student. This article shares highlights from the experiences of two of those students.
