Construction and Renovations
Many renovations are ongoing in our dining facilities to provide students with a more modern and comfortable dining atmosphere. Among these improvements are:
- New carpet and flooring in the Ripich Dining Commons
- New flooring at the Nor’easter Café on our Portland Campus
- Modifications to the Forum Café have created a more visually appealing and inviting seating area.
Meal Plan Enhancements
In response to feedback from our students, UNE Dining’s meal plans have been updated to offer more flexibility in on-campus dining. The 17-meal plan now features $150 in Flex Dollars and the 12-meal plan features $200 in Flex. Flex dollars can be used at any dining location on both the Biddeford and Portland Campuses.

Personalized Dining
If your student has a dietary restriction or allergy, UNE Dining understands that they might have additional questions or concerns about how our dining program will support them. Here are some ways our team can set them up for success:
- Dedicated Contacts. If your student has a specific allergy concern or wants to learn more about navigating our dining program with allergies, please encourage them to reach out to our team via email at UNEdining@une.edu. We are happy to answer any questions they may have and can arrange a meeting for a more personalized approach.
- Enhanced Allergen Information. Clear labeling and allergen information will be provided at all food stations to help your students make informed choices.
On-the-Go Dining Tip
Students are invited to take advantage of our reusable container program for convenient meals on the go. These are a fantastic option for athletes or those with exceptionally busy schedules. Please encourage your student to see the cashier at the Ripich Dining Commons for more details.
