Who can use the Makerspace?

Everyone! The Makerspace is open to all members of the UNE community.

What’s in the Makerspace?

The Makerspace is made up of three spaces: A flexible classroom, a design lab, and a workshop. Collectively the spaces include everything from craft supplies to power tools to specialized computer software.

Can I work on personal projects?

Yes! The Makerspace is available for any project you want to work on.

I have a research idea. How can I get started?

We are ready to help you get your idea off the ground! Stop by during open hours or email us at makerspace@une.edu and we can get started.

I’m a faculty member. Can I bring my class to the Makerspace?

Yes! Please contact makerspace@une.edu if you are interested in teaching a class or lab in the Makerspace.

I’m a faculty member. Can I have something made for my research?

We are working to expand our capacity to accommodate faculty requests. Please contact makerspace@une.edu about your needs and we will do our best to fit you in to our schedule.

Do you have any paid positions?

Yes! We are currently hiring Federal Work-study students for the 2024-2025 school year. Applications can be submitted on Handshake. For more information or if you have questions, email us at makerspace@une.edu!
