Who can use the Makerspace?

Everyone! The Makerspace is open to all members of the UNE community.

What’s in the Makerspace?

The Makerspace is made up of three spaces: A flexible classroom, a design lab, and a workshop. Collectively the spaces include everything from craft supplies to power tools to specialized computer software.

Can I work on personal projects?

Yes! The Makerspace is available for any project you want to work on.

I have a research idea. How can I get started?

We are ready to help you get your idea off the ground! Stop by during Open Hours or email us at makerspace@une.edu and we can get started.

I’m a faculty member. Can I bring my class to the Makerspace?

Yes! Please contact makerspace@une.edu if you are interested in teaching a class or lab in the Makerspace.

I’m a faculty member. Can I have something made for my research?

We are working to expand our capacity to accommodate faculty requests. Please contact makerspace@une.edu about your needs and we will do our best to fit you in to our schedule.

Do you have any paid positions?

We will be hiring Federal Work Study students in the fall semester. Check back in late August, or email us at makerspace@une.edu!
