Who can use the Makerspace?
The Makerspace is open to all students in the UNE community.
Can I work on personal projects?
Yes. The Makerspace is a student resource, available for any project you want to work on.
I have a research idea. How can I get started?
We are ready to help you get your idea off the ground! Stop by during Open Hours and we’ll get you started.
I’m a faculty member. Can I have something made for my research?
We are working hard to expand our capacity to accommodate faculty research requests. Please contact Mike Esty about your needs and we will do our best to fit you in to our schedule.
Do you have any paid positions?
Yes! We will be hiring interns and a workstudy student for the fall 2021. We are also recruiting a team of Innovation Fellows to be part of a new innovation initiative. There is a lot of opportunity to get involved! Email Justine Bassett (jbassett3@une.edu), the Director of the Makerspace, or Hannah Welch (hwelch2@une.edu), Student Lead or just come by during Open Hours!
