On November 11th, AHEC Scholars presented at the 2023 Maine AHEC Case Competition, with Team Blue Lobster Pod taking home the grand prize! To learn more about the competition and this year’s winners, check out the CEPH article linked here.
In conjunction with an esteemed group of content experts and led by AHEC consultant Holly DeYoung, we are in the beginning stages of developing the case study and supporting research for the 2024 Case Competition. The topic this year will address the nuances and complexities in maternal health for newly arrived Asylum-seeking individuals to southern Maine.
Lastly, 23 Scholars are preparing to embark on four rural health immersions with each of our AHEC regional centers over the March winter breaks. We look forward to hearing all about their experiences when they return!
