This semester, the RCC lab has been impacted just as much as everyone else with all that is going on in the world. Throughout the craziness that 2020 has brought, we are proud to have been able to push through and not only launch a new study but continue progressing on previous projects. Not only did this allow our labbies to continue working on research but it also provided valuable research experiences for our students enrolled in introductory psychology and lifespan development and will help inform other educations about best practices for remote education.
This semester we launched a study investigating the use of zoom for remote learning. Specifically, we were examining how different types of pre recorded lectures impact students’ learning and their experience. We fortunate to receive a grant through the Association of Psychological Science in order to conduct this project.

Outside of launching our new study, we were able to present at the Psychonomic international cognitive psychology conference and the UNE Fall Art and Research Symposium.

We were able to conclude our semester with a fun holiday party over zoom where we enjoyed chatting together about our successes of the semester and what we are looking forward to in the spring.
