Each year we welcome our newest class of undergraduate students with the long-standing tradition of a Convocation ceremony. Convocation at UNE marks the beginning of your student’s educational journey, serving as a formal welcome into our community of scholars.
This year, as we will welcome the Class of 2029, we invite you to view this time-honored tradition. Held on Tuesday August 26, 2025, Convocation will be livestreamed for parents, guardians, family, and friends to view. The ceremony begins with a formal procession at 3:30 PM, and will include remarks from President Herbert, Provost Mahon, the undergraduate college deans, and more. We encourage you to join us via the livestream, so you too can hear the words of welcome and advice that will be shared with your students.
