Shelley Cohen Konrad PhD, LCSW, FNAP, director of the Center to Advance Interprofessional Education (CAIEP) and patient advocate Susan Dudley Gold, chair of CAIEP’s newly established patient advisory team were awarded a $5,000 Maine Health Access Foundation discretionary grant to support the development of a patient and caregiver directory. Once established, the directory will provide resources for the UNE community to access a diverse range of patients and caregivers available to speak to students about the illness experience, participate on panels, consult with researchers hoping to gain insight from real-life experiences, and inform health professions curriculum. The directory launch is expected to take place the end of March 2025.
