This year’s MBMSS will be online. Dr. Scott Edwards from Harvard will provide a keynote titled, “Wings, feathers, flight: the PhyloG2P approach to understanding bird biology“, and there will be a panel on Covid-19 research in Maine, speaker presentations, and a Career Expo.

Like last year, posters will be available to view and comment on in LabCentral to provide an opportunity for participants to review posters as their time allows, and to start conversations in an asynchronous forum. We will be continuing this format in 2021 to maximize the time available for poster viewing. However, this year we will be trying a new format for the live, scheduled poster sessions, using the virtual space Gather.Town.

With this addition, we hope to approximate the informal and spontaneous conversations typical of in-person poster sessions. Stay tuned for more details and instructions!
