Scholar awards – Deadline 16. September 2024

Fulbright Iceland-Ministry for Foreign Affairs Arctic Scholar Award

Award for scholar to teach Arctic related subjects at the undergraduate and/or graduate level at a university in Iceland for one semester.

Fulbright Iceland-National Science Foundation Nordic Award in Arctic Security

6-month scholar grant toconduct research related to evolving Arctic security/northern security and geopolitical concerns. This research will be undertaken in Iceland and one other Nordic country (3 months in each country), with the goal of contributing substantively to the debate on Arctic security, broadly defined, to ensure a stable and sustainable Arctic region. Additional montly research stipend.

Fulbright Iceland-National Science Foundation Distinguished Scholar Award in Arctic Research

3-5-month Distinguished scholar gant to conduct Arctic-related research in Iceland for scholars with meaningful and longstanding experience in their field, including significant accomplishments and accolades. Additional montly research stipend.

Fulbright/National Science Foundation Arctic Research Award

9-month Arctic research grants for PhD students and students who have completed master’s in all social and natural science fields. The proposed project must have relevance for the Arctic and the people living there. Additional montly research stipend available for PhD students.
