Susan McHugh led “Perspectives of an Accidental Animist”, a conversation with Jarid Manos, founder of the non-profit organization Great Plains Restoration Council, which is helping create the largest public prairie preserve in North Texas.

Manos’s memoir Ghetto Plainsman is being made into a Hollywood feature film. McHugh and Manos were joined by Paul Moss, founder of The Plant Initiative, a nonprofit organization that works collaboratively with others to advance the respectful treatment of plants, as well as organizer of the conference Toward a New Way of Being with Plants, attended by 1500 people, in which their conversation was a featured event.
