“Extending Human Healthspan and Longevity” Symposium – The New York Academy of Sciences – May 19, 2021

REGISTER

Since 1900, life expectancy throughout much of the world has more than doubled—from approximately 35 years to 80+ years. Yet there have been consequences to this extended lifespan. Disease, disability, and frailty have all impacted the quality of life associated with these later years.

As we seek to further extend longevity, how can we simultaneously help people live longer while also delaying age-related health issues?

Featuring keynote speakers Nir Barzilai of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Pincus Cohen of UCS Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, Extending Human Healthspan and Longevity will explore this key question, bringing together physicians and scientists from academia and industry in the fields of genetics, biology of aging, endocrinology, gerontology, clinical psychology, physiology, and more. Sessions during the symposium will focus on three primary areas: (i) Targetable Aging Processes (ii) Biomarkers for Therapies, and (iii) Translational Research at the Forefront of Healthspan and Lifespan.
