Registration | MDIBL Summer Symposium, Friday, August 4th, from 10:30 am- 5 pm

Registrations are due no later than 7/31 for presenters and 8/2 for guests and event registrants.

Hello!

As summer fellowships draw to an end, it is time to look forward to the MDI Biological Laboratory Summer Symposium to be hosted at MDI Biological Laboratory on Friday, August 4th, from 10:30 am- 5 pm. The symposium will consist of multiple blocks for 5-minute talks (with 1 minute for questions) and a poster session to close. Lunch will be provided for registered attendees. Please see the below schedule for reference. Registrations are due no later than 7/31 for presenters and 8/2 for guests and event registrants. Please find the link for registration here.

MDI Biological Laboratory Summer Symposium 2023

10:30 am-12:00 pm: Session 1 of 5-minute thesis-style presentations

MDIBL and In-Person students will present 5-minute thesis-style presentations of their research at the Maren Auditorium on the upper campus.

12:00 pm-1:00 pm: Lunch break & poster set up

Lunch provided by MDIBL in the campus dining hall. Posters can be set up during this time at MCBI on lower campus. Posters might be set up in courtyard, depending on weather.

1:00 pm- 3:30 pm: Session 2 of 5-minute thesis-style presentations

MDIBL and In-Person students will present 5-minute thesis-style presentations of their research at the Maren Auditorium on the upper campus.

*If this session ends early, due to numbers of presenters, then we will begin the poster session earlier than planned. This will be announced ahead of time once we have a finalized list of presenters.

3:30 pm- 4:00 pm: Break & poster set up

Posters can be set up during this time at MCBI on lower campus. Posters might be set up in courtyard, depending on weather.

4:00 pm-5:00 pm: In-Person Poster Session at MCBI on lower campus with light refreshments
