Biography: Cassandra Godzick is a T32 Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry and Instructor with the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.  She is affiliated with the Centers for Health and Aging and also provides care in clinics for Dartmouth Health including the Sleep Health Center at Alice Peck Day Hospital.

Biography: Deb Fournier is now serving as Lead Advance Practice Provider for the Department of Psychiatry.  She is an Instructor with Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and most recently has been working to develop a comprehensive training program for psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner students to assist in meeting the workforce needs of our most vulnerable populations.

Learning Outcome: Participants will be able to apply principles of evidenced based medicine to determine clinical diagnosis and update best practices consistent with evolving knowledge in caring for patients with psychiatric conditions.

  1. Describe vulnerabilities and strengths in the neuroanatomy of the human brain

2     Understand the complex implications of physical and psychological trauma

3     Discuss prevention and intervention strategies to mitigate long-term mental health issues after traumatic brain injuries
