The UNE IRB website (click here) has recently been updated with the following new content:

| Application for Exempt Research Projects | Replaces the former ‘Application for Exemption’ |
| Principal Investigator Certification | The new form is intended to be used to capture the electronic signature and date of the Principal Investigator (and the Faculty Advisor when applicable) to certify their involvement in the research project |
| Research Proposal Guidance for Exempt Projects Involving Interviews & Surveys | This new guidance document provides valuable insights for understanding IRB requirements with regard to writing a research proposal for exempt projects involving interviews and surveys |
| Participant Information Sheet Template (Exempt Projects Only) | Replaces the former ‘Consent Template for Exempt Studies Only’ |
On an on-going basis, the Office of Research Integrity aims to make additional update to the UNE IRB website in an effort to continually improve the content available to the research community. Prior to submitting your IRB application to irb@une.edu for review, please visit the UNE IRB website to ensure that you are using the most current version of any IRB-required documents (e.g., application, form, template, guidance document) to avoid unnecessary delays in the review process.
