Ben Harris (UNECOM2023) received the 2020 Medical Student Summer Research Award from the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGE) for a research project “Effects of Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy on Inflammatory Markers Post-Operatively in IGFBP-2 and Wildtype C57BL/6J Mice” under the mentorship of Dr. Cliff Rosen, at the Maine Medical Center Research Institute (MMCRI).
