Announcement Fish Facility Manager

Dear UNE Research Community,

Please join me in welcoming Erin Ducharme, MS, to UNE as the Fish Facility Manager, effective April 6, 2020.  I am especially excited because Erin’s position also marks the first time that UNE will have centralized fish husbandry.

Erin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marine, Estuarine, and Freshwater Biology from the University of New Hampshire and her Masters of Science degree in Biology (concentration of Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences) from North Carolina State University.  Erin comes to UNE with significant field and laboratory experience including fish husbandry, hatchery procedures, water quality and aquaculture system management.  Erin is also actively engaged with charity including the Relay for Life, an impressive 12-hour relay raising money for the American Cancer Society!

Erin will be supervising Jackie Boudreau, who also recently joined UNE as the Fish Husbandry Animal Care Technician.  Erin and Jackie will be splitting their time between the Zebrafish Education and Research Facility and the Marine Science Center.

Sincerely,

Brian Lynn, JD
