COM OMS2 students from King and Becker Labs were selected for oral presentations at the Student American Osteopathic Association Orthopedics meeting which is held at the American Osteopathic Association Orthopedics meeting in Colorado during the first week in October.

Hunter Scott and Benjamin Mugg titled “Knee Joint NGF and CGRP as Key Mediators of Transition from Mid-Stage to Advanced Osteoarthritis Pain” from the King lab. 

A second presentation will be given by Gabe DeOliveira titled “Saphenous Nerve Injury Results in Denervation of the Tibia with Modest Changes in Cortical Bone Mineral Density in Female Mice” from the Becker lab.

Hunter Scott received a Peter Morgane fellowship and Ben Mugg and Gabe DeOliveira received Kahn Family Foundation fellowships to fund their research and travel.
