These are the primary benefits of the fellowship:
- $95,000 scholarship ($47,500 per academic year)
- Basic health insurance for the grantee
- Reimbursement of up to $1,700 for airfare expenses for Fulbright fellows (and spouses)
- Partial reimbursement of education expenses for children
