Laura Marvin, BCH 2020, a graduate student at the University of Delaware, has just been awarded an NSF Graduate Fellowship.

“Laura was not only a Biochemistry major, she was also an Applied Math minor, so this is a true SMAPS success story. NSF graduate fellowships are highly competitive and prestigious, so this is quite an accomplishment.

While at UNE Laura worked in my lab all four years and three SURE/MSGC funded summers, published two papers including one as first author, and received the UNE Undergraduate Research and Scholarship Award for Natural Sciences.” Eva Rose Balog, Ph.D, Department of Chemistry and Physics
