UNE’s Center for Excellence in Public Health (CEPH), PI Michele Polacsek, was awarded a $900,000 grant by the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Community Living for a three year grant to deliver innovative nutrition education to seniors.

CEPH is partnering with the UNE Center for Aging and Health (CEAH), the Westbrook Housing Authority and the Southern Maine Agency on Aging, to implement and evaluate the impact of an innovative, pandemic-responsive nutrition education program, Enhanced-10 Tips for Adults (e-TTA), on food security, socialization, and perceived health and wellbeing of residents in a rural low-income senior housing setting in Maine.
