With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are reminded of the importance of healers and caregivers in society. This year’s Women’s History Month theme, “Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope” serves as a reminder to not only honor caregivers and frontline workers during the pandemic, but also recognize ways in which women have provided healing and hope throughout history.
Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day are also a time to imagine a gender equal world – free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination, where we can be truly inclusive, equitable, diverse, and celebrate our differences. This year’s International Women’s Day theme, Break the Bias, is a step towards just this.
